Revlon Matte Eyeshadow Review

Retail Price:
Ulta- $4.49
CVS.com- $4.99
Drugstore.com- $4.99

The Revlon Matte eyeshadows come in 9 different colors. I have four of them, and the review will be on these four colors. Vintage Lace, Luscious Lime, Aubergine and Venetian Blue. Below are swatches of the colors with and without a base [I used the Sephora brand eye primer]

Packaging:
I like the packaging, and you get a good amount of product for the price you're paying. Its an easy open plastic case, but not so easily opened that it will pop open in your purse or travel bag.

Color- Color Application:
Vintage Lace- A light cream color [it makes a nice mate highlight color]
Luscious Lime- A muted lime color
Aubergine- A dark purple color with a brown/black undertone
Venetian Blue- A vibrant bright blue

In my opinion the colors look extremely vibrant..in the packaging.
When I applied the "Vintage Lace" and "Luscious Lime" shadow, even with a base they seem to be really chalky, hard to blend, and not very pigmented; HOWEVER, the "Aubergine" and "Venetian Blue" are completely different. I found that the "Aubergine" color was a tad bit difficult to blend, but with a base the pigmentation is wonderful.
"Venetian Blue" without a doubt stole the spotlight. It was easy to blend the pigmentation was FABULOUS and I think its a perfect dupe for MACs "Electric Eel" [which I also own] Its bright and pigmented with or without a base, which the other colors I have are not.

Overall:
I would probably pick up a few more of the darker colors to test them out, but I think the lighter matte colors I would leave alone, by the two I have they just seem to be a little too chalky and difficult to work with for me :/
However, the "Venetian Blue" I would definitely recommend and will buy another.

3 out of 5 stars.
